Pathetic...

So I'm taking one last credential class right...  It's an online course that requires posting opinions aboue websites.  So this fool posts this... You don't have to read all of it to figure out what's wrong...

The first website that I explored was: http://classroom.kidshealth.org/

This website is very helpful for teachers, parents and kids. KidsHealth is the largest and most-visited site on the Web providing doctor-approved health information about children from before birth through adolescence. Created by The Nemours Foundation's Center for Children's Health Media, the award-winning. KidsHealth provides families with accurate, up-to-date, and jargon-free health information they can use. KidsHealth has separate areas for kids, teens, and parents — each with its own design, age-appropriate content, and tone. There are literally thousands of in-depth features, articles, animations, games, and resources — all original and all developed by experts in the health of children and teens. Physicians and other health experts review all content before it's published on KidsHealth. All content is re-reviewed on a regular basis (about every 1 to 3 years, or more frequently if needed). You can find the most recent review date and the name of the expert reviewers at the end of each article.

The second website that caught my attention was: http://www.childrenshealthfund.org/publications/healthed.php#basics

Learning about health isn't just about medical diseases and conditions. It's also learning about the amazing ways the body works — and how to keep it working in the best way possible. It's about normal physical development and stages — and how they can differ from person to person. It's about the emotions and worries almost everyone faces — and how to keep things balanced. It's about stress that can interfere with daily life — and what to do to get some help. It's about thinking ahead so you can do the things you need to stay healthy — and how to prevent the things that can cause serious problems later on. It's about how families function in the good times — and in the bad. It's about the joys and challenges of parenting — and what families can do to help their kids and teens travel along the path that's best for them.

ITS SO  OBVIOUS THAT HE CUT AND PASTE FROM THE SITES....

Keep in mind, that this is somebody who is taking a graduate level course.  He's, at the least, an upperclassmen in  his undergrad.  More likely though, he's an aspiring teacher.  I don't know what's more pathetic.  The fact that he actually tried to do this, or that he was so inept as to not notice how obvious it is.  A simple google search of any of the suspicious sentences will bring the whole site up!

On a side note...

To all of you high school students that read my xanga... Do you know me as a credible person?  Do you think that I would lie to you?  Well... then you MUST BELIEVE ME... It is SOOOOOO easy to catch you guys cheating, whether it's on a test or whether it's plagiarism.

Your teachers are even more privy to your writing ability that you are!  Believe it.

And cheating on a test?  Please.... If your teacher hasn't caught you it's because he's not really trying to catch you...  I probably have a longer list of cheating techniques than 95% of you...

If you think any of the following is slick, then you are wrong:

1. Writing on the table

2. Writing on your stomach and looking down your shirt

3. Typing answers on size 3 font and wrapping it around a clear hollow mechanical pencil

4.  Dropping your pencil to look at your neighbors paper

5.  Writing in between your fingers

6.  Wrting on your pants

7.  Sneezing, sniffling, clearing your throat, etc. to signal on multiple choice tests

8.  Hiding your book in the bathroom or somewhere near the bathroom and asking to go to the bathroom

9.  Putting the answers inside of a hat and pretending to wipe your sweat to retrieve them

10. Asking an older student for the test

11. Writing on an expanded rubber band so that you can't see the writing unitl you stretch out that portion

12.  Writing on your body

And list goes on.... don't you know that this is nothing new under the sun?  Seriously... think about it... if you look at anything... a band-aid.. the inside of a water bottle... at your belt... at anything... it's REALLY NOT THAT HARD TO TELL.

Look... for one, most of you fools SLOWLY raise your head to locate the teacher before you try anything anyways.  All the teacher has to do is stand in front of the class where he or she can see all of your eyes, or stand in the back of the class where he or she can watch all of your head movements, hand movements, and posture.

Anyways... some of you are probably wondering... am I going to rat this fool out?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!

I'm not about to rat somebody out.

All I know is that if the prof. reads his post....

Boo I say...

Dear Xanga Land (or should I say the remaining 4-5 people that might actually read this),

Oh how I've missed you....  which is why.... it hurts me to say this... You...

Fail Cat

Yes....

Today, I am quite the boo on you.  After an eight month Xanga vacation, I did a brief, but not unintentional, perusal of my subscriptions and I must say.... I am sorely disappointed with the entertainment value of recent posts.  If not for Candice's Miss Teen North Carolina video, I don't know what I would have done....

In other news, I found these stinkin hilarious essays online that I thought I would share with you..

6a00d4142880b93c7f00d414258429685e

I've yet to receive anything this hilarious... I must say though that I've read some pretty darn good ones already...  I'll never post them though, out of respect for my kids.  Way too many have already found the MySpace that I don't even use, except to respond to the "hey Mr. Lim I found your MySpace!"s.

But back to the essays..

This next one is my favorite so far...  It starts out pretty funny.. then it kind of struggles, until the end, where it really picks up the slack...

essayelnino

"Imagine, fighting the power of the gods with flashlight batteries."  HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA x a zillion!!!

Do you see Xanga?! I give you Coming in Like El Nino!

Have I not given you Monkey Steals the Peach?!  Did I not use MS Paint to draw Cars?!  and Urinals?! and Enoch the manchild?!

People... please..... would you deprive me of the humor and wit that I have come to expect from you?!  Brian... how about more furious MS Paint diagrams of how you fished your phone out of the peepee bowl?!

61398_Respek_Knuckles by the way for that.....

Doug... haven't you taken any pictures of chromosomes lately?  Enoch.. how about some Andrew pictures?  Where are all the "which Transformer are you?" quizzes?!  Nevermind that I don't need to take the quiz (I already know that I would get Optimus Prime)!  That's not the point!

300px-Optimusg1

Oh gosh... what's the use... nobody is reading this... where did everybody go?  hmm... facebook huh... yea.. I know it... It's facebook isn't it....  I guess I haven't moved on with the times...

(By the way you guys, If you can't tell I'm just playing around.  I'm not trying to discourage the many of you who actually use Xanga for posts of substance [something I rarely do].  I really do appreciate the fact that you guys post how you're doing and what you're up to... and that's why I usually read Xangas anyways....)

As for the reason for my long departure from Xanga... hmm.. here they are!  My little supergeniuses(genii)... I'm so proud of them!

Reflections of A Wierdo

Ok.. so... I've been reflecting on some of my old xanga posts.. and I came across this one.. I wrote this last year in Iraq, on Christmas Eve....

If I know anything about intellectual honesty, and I'm not all certain that I do, it seems to me that no matter the ruin of a man or the weight of his burden, no matter how bleached the color of his spirit, as long as he continues to be sane, his humanity will testify to him of his greater meaning.  If we could without effort fully understand this meaning, we would cease to long for it.  If we could fulfill this ultimate purpose without taking pains, indeed we would never question if life was worth living.  But these things are not so, and thus there remains in each of us a stirring; a provocation to seek the evidence of that which is beyond us, what we are about, whether it be as our individual selves or as a struggling race or both.

Some men will deny this, thus they will war against their more honest selves until they can more clearly see their disposition. Others will accept the fact, but fall into other perils.  You see there is a natural laziness that oft moves us to embrace the easiest of solutions, albeit a solution borne more out of convenience that honesty.  This is why an open mind is not always a virtuous thing, because it can accept as a solution the abolition of the need for a solution.  Only the coarse grained sojourner has the resistance to endure the temptations of that fair-weather path.  And even still for the one who continues to search , he will most likely find that he is entrusting himself to something (or someone) that he does not fully understand. In short, he would have discovered something of faith.

I say "something of faith" because even at this point the currency of the thing still escapes the best of us.  For it seems to me that the prime initiative of a man of faith is to make his faith a part of his life, not through intellectual assent, but by living it out.  Indeed a genuine faith can only manifest itself as a first in class, the focal point of our affections, until it ultimately defines our true selves.  And then we would find ourselves experiencing everything for the first time, as if everything up until then was without color, without flavor.  We would be drenched in joy.  We would have just begun to live.

OK.. fast forward to now... I just read it again and I was like...

Dude Wait

How did I write that?  And how can I do it again?  heh.. Kudos Justin.. e-props for Dec. 24, 2005.

I do remember spending much time in meditation, mulling over this thing called faith and this thing called life.  I think... I must have been reading... Sir Thomas Merton.. or Bunyan's Pilgrims Progress... or C S Lewis.. or.. who knows... But for right now..

I'm mulling over this picture.. and wondering why it is so amusing to me....

..

Kill Superman

Yes..... there is a weirdness in me that few of you will understand...  Indeed if you do, be afraid... .... most of the time I feel like I'm 26... sometimes I feel like I'm 30... and every now and then... I feel like.....

I'm a puppy.....

We love Him because He first loved us...

IMG_1416.JPG

Praise Him! Praise Him!  The Thrice Holy God!

IMG_1423.JPGIMG_1391.JPG

To all of the Xanganites, let it be known, that God is good.  Here we are, a band of small and pitiful servants.  Let us always remember to lie prostrate before Him.. and to pray as David did:

O my soul, you have said to the LORD, You are my LORD, my goodness is nothing apart from You.

                            - A Psalm of David, Psalm 16:2

IMG_1363.JPGIMG_1366.JPG

Doug, Praise God for such a like-minded brother.  I'm sorry that I can't play mafia with you anymore.  It's better for the rest of the world that we don't combine our mafi-ississimo...

Pastor Brian... as God so moved Solomon to write thus:

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.  For if they fall, one will lift up his companion.

- Ecclesiastes 5:9-10

Praise God, that He saw it in His goodness to bind us in Him, that we should edify one another.  Let our conversations lift Him up.  Let the name of Jesus hang from our lips.

This is Elisha... this one is adorable..  I dominate her at hug-o-war.  Actually.... no.. not really... she normally dominates me...  and lately she's been doing this thing where she rams me with her head.. I.. ... I don't get it... hahaha... don't hurt yourself Elisha.... heh.. like ramming a brick wall, I know...

IMG_1367.JPGIMG_1373.JPG

Meet Kyung Soo..  She goes by Korin, but alas.. sorry Kyung Soo, I've known you soo long that it's stuck on me!  This girl has an amazing voice.  Did you see her perform for the Christmas Pageant?  If not then you missed out because she rocks!

Esther.  You make me so happy!  You make me so happy!  I'm so happy that God has made you EXACTLY as you are, because it is a very good thing.

 IMG_1443.JPGIMG_1356.JPG

Here, Saebum (spelling?) and Gene are interviewing Kevin.  You guys are hilarious.  It was such a blessing to hear you share about your joys and struggles.  There is so much that I desire for you!

IMG_1452.JPG     IMG_1405.JPG

Josh and Jay, Praise God!  When I think of you all that comes to mind is this: Praise God!  I am overflowing with joy, because it is apparant that you have given up yourselves to walk the path that is difficult.  What privilege is this, that I have been blessed to see you grow in your faith?  Continue to build His Kingdom!  Praise God.

IMG_1362.JPGIMG_1424.JPG

Lean back... lean bak.... leen bak.... Lina Bak!!  Praise God for the gifts that He so graciously bestows upon us.  You have so many!  I learn a lot from you, even though my pride keeps me from telling you!

IMG_1383.JPGIMG_1382.JPG

Jessica and Ash!  How blessed it is to serve with you!  Jessica, how amazing it is that God brought you to this ministry!!!  I think that if not for you, PB would lose his mind... And Ashley... look at you!  Could you be any sweeter?  Praise God!

T. Brian!  Praise God for such a wonderful brother in Christ!  I have so much to learn from you.  Your willingness to serve the LORD is marvelously wonderful.  I have scarcely known an individual so ready to take up the unsung tasks.  Surely, it must be the LORD that works in you.

IMG_1327.JPGIMG_1454.JPG

Phil and Joseph, you two are blessings to me!  Phil, thank you for your prayers.  I hope that every time we meet, we will both be encouraged by how much the other has grown!

Isaac!  I'm so glad that you joined us!  It's so funny how God works isn't it?  You can always lean on me!

IMG_1446IMG_1328.JPG

Jean!  You're smiling!  You're smiling!  I'm wearing you down... hahaha..... I'm so encouraged by you.  I'm going to miss you when you go to college!  Be bold in your faith!

Esther Lee... what can I say... You know what my first impression of you was?  When I first met you, you were in 7th grade.  I said to myself... "this girl's crazy...  we're going to get along really well."  And we do!  Well.. at least I think so... hahaha...

I love this picture.... Do you see how we are all connected to one another?!

Jesus Loves His Little Chil---dren

IMG_1204.JPGIMG_1187.JPG

All the children of the world.

IMG_1205.JPGIMG_1184.JPG

red or yellow, black or white, they are precious in His sight,

IMG_1194.JPGIMG_1224.JPG

Jesus loves the little children of the world.

IMG_1206.JPGIMG_1289.JPG

Lo, Children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is His reward   --Psalm 127:3

IMG_1237.JPGIMG_1248.JPG

And they brought young children to Him, that He should touch them: and His disciples rebuked those that brought them.  But when jesus saw it, He was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come to Me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

 -- Mark 10:13-14

IMG_1255.JPGIMG_1256.JPG

And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were sore displeased, and said unto Him, hearest thou what these say?  And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

-- Matt 21:15-16

IMG_1266.JPGIMG_1276.JPG

Praise Him!  Last Saturday God blessed us by allowing us to take a trip down to Mexico to encourage the fellow brothers and sisters.  Praise Him!  The little ones are so amazing.  They crave love, same as any other child, same as you and me.  The one that P. Brian is holding [above left] starts to cry if you put him down.

IMG_1283.JPGIMG_1291.JPG

This is Bernardo; a very charismatic one.  He quickly captured the hearts of the students.

IMG_1265.JPGIMG_1258.JPG

Some of the children are not so charismatic.  They are awkward, similar to other children, to you or me.

IMG_1177.JPGIMG_1285.JPG

Praise Him; His heart is greater than yours or mine.  He loves them all because they are His.

IMG_1243.JPGIMG_1221.JPG

If you want to be blessed, come with us next time.

IMG_1240IMG_1200

And the LORD, I am convinced, will bless you.
